PLANNED, NOT HOPED FOR.
Good tabletop images are not the result of luck on set, but of preparation. We translate product ideas, campaigns and concepts into images that look exactly as planned – as an owner-run tabletop studio with camera robot, high-speed camera and our own workshop for effects and rigs under one roof.
Every camera move, every splash and every lighting change is defined before the shoot day and can be repeated exactly on set as often as needed. For creative directors, producers and brands that means: the schedule holds, the result is predictable before the shoot, and the images have the level a campaign needs – without rendering.

TABLETOP DIRECTOR /// MOTION-CONTROL-OPERATOR
Sören Weingarten directs and operates the camera robot himself – at fokusmedien these are not two separate roles. He developed the product robot STING, builds effect rigs in his own workshop and defines camera moves, lighting and timing before the shoot day. The Selters image clip won two AVA Platinum Awards in 2025. For agencies and production companies he is available as Tabletop Commercial Director and Directing DoP – and he is your personal contact, from the first conversation to final approval.
ANNEMARIE HENTSCHEL.
SET DESIGN /// CREATION
Annemarie Hentschel designs what stands in front of the camera: set, material, colour, props. Her eye for space, movement and timing comes from theatre and dance. She plans ahead before the robot moves, so that set design and camera move fit together – and works with fokusmedien on a project basis.
WHAT WE HAVE IN-HOUSE.
Camera robot, high-speed and cinema camera, in-house effects and lighting – all at the studio in Frankfurt, all available for hire individually.
MRMC BOLT.
Camera robot for fast, exactly repeatable camera moves. Permanently in the studio on pedestal, controlled via Flair, triggers effects and camera in sync. Always booked with an operator.

TITAN SLIDER.
Motorised camera slider by MRMC Slidekamera with pan-tilt head. Repeatable linear moves, in sync with the Bolt in the studio, set up on location in minutes. Controlled via controller, Dragonframe-compatible.

STING.
In-house development: industrial robot converted into a product robot with integrated pneumatics. Moves bottles, packaging and props repeatably, in sync with the camera move. Stage 1 from November 2026, stage 2 as a second camera arm in 2027.

FREEFLY EMBER S5K.
High-speed camera that records continuously instead of in short buffers – the decisive moment is never missed. On the Bolt for splashes, pours and everything the eye cannot see.

Main camera for commercials and product films. Large sensor, high dynamic range, RAW – headroom for grading, crops and formats. Mounted on the Bolt or on the TITAN.

EFFECTS & RIGS.
Splashes, drops, pours and flying parts come from compressed air, motors and mechanics from our own workshop. The robot triggers them – in the same frame on every pass. What the inventory does not provide is built for the project.

LIGHTING.
High-speed needs a lot of light without flicker. LED from small accent lights to 1200 W, linked to the camera move via DMX, plus high-speed flashes for photography.

Five steps, each with sign-off. For smaller formats, steps are merged – the order stays the same.
BRIEF & FEASIBILITY
You send a board, script or idea. We check what can be shot for real, how robot, effects and camera work together, and give you a cost range. If needed, we write a treatment.
PREPARATION
Rigs are built, liquids and effects tested, camera moves programmed – with previs on request. In the pre-production meeting, shot list, schedule and approvals are fixed. After that it is clear what happens on the shoot day.
SHOOT
At the studio in Frankfurt or at your location. Every move is repeated until timing, light and effect are right. Anyone not on site joins via live stream and approves takes directly.
POST-PRODUCTION
Editing, removal of rigs and mounts, product retouching, colour grading, sound. What we do not do ourselves we coordinate with regular partners – your contact stays the same.
DELIVERY
Main version plus derivatives: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, cutdowns, stills from the same set-up on request – checked and in the formats of your channels.
